Valentine's Day--and Glycolic Peels?

lipsDid you hear about our special Valentine’s offer this week? We’ve had lots of great opportunities on offer this week: Buy one Juvederm XC or Juvederm Voluma and get a second one for 50% off or 20 units of Botox for $160 (a 50% saving!); get $50 off glycolic peels or microdermabrasion for face; and $50 off laser hair removal for a full face treatment. Not too shabby, right?

We’ve talked a lot about Juvederm and Botox here on our blog (just check out this blog post and this one if you need a refresher!), but what about glycolic peels? Do you even know what those are, or how they can benefit you?

A glycolic peel (more commonly referred to as a chemical peel) is one of the least invasive approaches you can take to significantly improve the appearance of your skin. In the procedure, a chemical solution is brushed onto your face and left on your skin for up to ten minutes. Once applied to your skin, the solution goes to work, exfoliating away dead skin cells to remove damaged outer layers of skin.

Glycolic peels can reduce acne scarring and age spots, as well as even your pigmentation—and they also help revitalize your skin’s collagen and elastin and improve its overall hydration. The result is smoother, softer skin with smaller pores—and all without any downtime! (You may have some flaking and irritation after the procedure, but nothing too extreme.)

If you weren’t able to make it to the San Francisco Plastic Surgery & Laser Center in time for our Valentine’s special, don't worry—you can still call us and set up a free consultation to see if a glycolic peel, or one of the other procedures we just had on offer, is a good choice for you!

Happy Valentine’s Day,

Dr. Usha Rajagopal
