Male Nipple Reduction

On men, large nipples men can have a feminizing effect on the appearance of the chest—not an image most men want to project! Luckily, however, it is easily remedied through a simple plastic surgery procedure! Male nipple reduction is a minor surgical procedure that can often be performed in the office. Tiny incisions are made in and around the nipple, excess tissue is removed, and the nipple is reshaped to the desired form and size. This procedure is primarily performed under local anesthesia. The sutures put in place to support the new shape, meanwhile, either dissolve or are removed about a week after surgery.

Because male nipple reduction is such a simple, straightforward procedure, the cost is modest compared to other plastic surgeries. The downtime is minimal as well; in fact, many men return to work the same day. You will experience some minor soreness for a few days—but once you heal, you should feel entirely back to normal. In most cases, the sensitivity of the area is not affected by the procedure.
